About Us

Magdalena Pisica has worked as a caregiver in adult-care homes since she first moved from Romania in 1999. Three years later, she and her parents opened their first adult care home in Northeast Portland.

Today, Magda and her husband own and operate the Sylvan Heights Care Homes, two lovely residences on the western edge of Multnomah County. Clients find the homes warm and cozy; they especially enjoy the home-cooked meals, the joyful family atmosphere, and the safe setting.

Staff Qualifications
Our experienced caregivers are skilled at providing tender, loving care to the dependent seniors who have joined our family. They’ve developed close relationships with the residents, giving Sylvan Heights a caring atmosphere that is truly homelike.

Sylvan Heights staff members include:

• Resident managers and caregivers, including an on-site Certified Nursing Assistant
• Rosalyn Crocker, a contract RN with Multnomah County Aging and Disability Services, who monitors our residents’ health and answers questions and other concerns that may arise.
• Carolyn Brown, a contract music therapist who enchants our days with her beautiful voice and guitar playing
• Activity coordinator who provides weekly entertainment tailored to our residents’ interests.
  

Licensing
Sylvan Heights Care Homes are licensed by the Multnomah County Aging and Disability Services, Adult Care Home Program and by the State of Oregon.
